Airport
Close to the air terminal. Convenient for resting up after a long trip,
or for taking care of some urgent business and leaving soon after. Surrounded
by an industrial zone and slums.
Downtown
The most traditional part of the city, full
of interesting artistic, historic and archeological sites to visit,
as well as a multitude of establishments for dining and entertainment.
Crowded during the day and almost desolated at night. Some small hotels
have been reported noisy but newer and excellent facilities have been
established.
Chapultepec-Polanco
Several of the most luxurious hotels in town can be found here, and
its proximity to Chapultepec Park lends it a special air.
Here also are the National Museum of Anthropology and the Modern Art
Museum (see Chapultepec). Close to the Reforma
area. We also included Santa Fe, 10 miles from the Park, in the Lomas
Hills, which is the newest business area in the city. Some of the most
important corporate headquarters have settled in Santa Fe.
Reforma
Financial and business center of the city and ideally located for trips
into other interesting areas (see Paseo de la
Reforma). The Zona Rosa is also here, full of restaurants, bars,
boutiques and lively nightclubs. Zona Rosa is part of its course and
gathers tourist services as well.
Northern Area
Mexicoís most important industrial zone.(Tlalnepantla and Vallejo).
Easy acces to Queretaro motorway.
Southern Area
Along Insurgentes Avenue, a commercial and business hub. Being middle
class areas, Roma and Condesa offer a typical Mexico City life and convenient
location. Some of the most beautiful and traditional areas of the city
can be found in Coyoacan, San Angel and Tlalpan. Further on you can
stay in Pedregal Area close to the National University.
